At
Gearhead Garage, we don’t only build muscle cars, we also drive
them. Racing and performance is in our blood. On any given occasion,
you may find us at the track. Centrally located in Sacramento, CA
you’ll find that we’re heavily involved with drag racing.
Our staff makes up the full race crew for a pair of NHRA SuperComp
dragsters. Usually found racing at Sacramento Raceway or the newly
revamped Infineon Raceway located in Sonoma, CA, we’ve been
competing in the NHRA’s Pacific Division (Division 7) for the
better part of the 2004-2005 seasons.
Bestowed
with the responsibility of racing and maintaining a pair of 1000+
horsepower, big block powered NHRA race cars, we have been pushed
to higher levels. Well versed in street and bracket racing (we also
frequent the amateur Wednesday night fun drags at Sacramento Raceway),
intense competition has put our skills and resourcefulness to the
test time and time again. Turning times as quick as 7.60 in the quarter
mile takes more than just a little luck, it requires continuous effort,
commitment and a relentless pursuit of technological knowledge. There’s
nothing like blowing a transmission during Saturday night test and
tune and finding a way to rebuild it and qualify second fastest the
following morning.
